Having originally trained and worked as a unisex hairstylist, Matt House eventually decided to use his expert skill with the scissors in male hairdressing. He worked and trained as a barber for 7 years before opening his first salon in Oakworth village 9 years ago.

Matt recently moved to his current salon that is spacious, bright and modern. Furnishings include a traditional, all leather Beaumont barbers chair for adults, as well as back wash and dry facilities. A specially commissioned Italian ‘horse’ chair for babies and toddlers is believed to be the only one of its kind in West Yorkshire. A tub of toys is also available to keep the little ones occupied. For babies first hair cut there is no charge!

Matt is a friendly, outgoing family man who quickly puts all clients at ease. He is patient with older, less mobile clients, but readily upbeat with the younger, fashion conscious males. He welcomes clients of all ages. Matt is exceptionally good with babies and preschoolers who may be a little hesitant about a haircut. He makes going to the barbers a positive, fun experience to remember!
