Oakworth crem

Oakworth Crematorium will close next month for essential repair work to take place.

The crematorium will close after the last service on Friday, 3 March and will re-open on Thursday, 23 March.

Cremations will be held at Nab Wood and Scholemoor Crematoria during that time.

The Book of Remembrance and Garden of Remembrance at Oakworth will not be affected by the temporary closure.

Coun Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council's Executive Member for Environment, Sport and Culture, said: "We are sorry for any inconvenience these works may cause but they are necessary and the closure is essential. Everything possible has been done to reduce the length of the closure."
