It happened to the rear of Carling Jones and Nestegg on Newmarket Street, Skipton in the alleyway leading to private flats sometime between Friday 20th and Monday 23rd February 2015 and involved paint being smeared across a first floor flat and ground floor walls of the buildings leading to permenant damage being caused.

Vehicles may be banned from using a road into one of Skipton's main car parks.

Craven District Council is considering pedestrianising Jerry Croft between the High Street and Marks and Spencer.

An independent road safety risk assessment was carried out after concerns were raised about the mix of vehicles and pedestrians.

skipton robbery2Police in Skipton have issued CCTV of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a bag from a Cancer Research
charity shop.

It happened at Cancer Research in Caroline Square, Skipton, at 3pm on Tuesday 17 February 2015, when a brown leather Ralph Lauren
bag priced at £99.95 was stolen.

The man police want to speak to was dressed in smart, casual dark coloured clothing and was carrying a leather man bag across his
body and entered the store with a woman.

Beacons Festival bosses have snubbed rural Skipton for the big cities.

Organisers today announced the annual music festival - traditionally held in local green fields - is moving to Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool for 2015.

The unexpected move has disappointed many festival goers, some who gave already bought tickets for this year' event and the relocation will harm local businesses who welcomed the influx of visitors to Skipton.

Allotment holders in the Middletown area of Skipton are being urged to be vigilant after some incidents of criminal damage.

A large greenhouse was damaged at the allotments at sometime between 4pm on 29 January 2015 and 8.30am on 30 January 2015.

Damage was also caused to two glass panes for no apparent reason other than vandalism.

Missing Skipton man Liam Sutcliffe has been found safe in Leeds.

North Yorkshire Police thanked the public for their assistance in locating 26-year-old Liam.

Liam SutcliffePolice have issued an urgent appeal to help find a missing 25-year-old man from Skipton.

Liam Sutcliffe was last seen at around noon yesterday and was reported missing this morning after he failed to return home.

Officers say they have information to suggest Liam was in Leeds last night and are appealing to anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is now, to contact them.
