What a outstanding success this years 6th Bronte Vintage Gathering was, beautiful sunshine and a record attendance. This event is held every year in aid of the Manorlands Sue Ryder home at Oxenhope the weather brought 1000s of people to the event car parks were over flowing.
There was plenty to do for everyone Knights jousting at the far side of the field run by the Escafield Medieval Society.
The ultimate driving experience was also a success you where aloud to drive a 40ft artic or two very large tractors. At the same end of the showground you could also do a helicopter ride.
At around 2.30pm there was a flypast a Lancaster Bomber escorted by a Hurricane and a Spitfire the sight was fantastic.
The number of exhibits to the show was enormous cars , motorbikes, wagons, steam organs and Traction Engines aswell as the famous Steam Gallopers Carousel in the programme I bought there were 284 entries in total.
Also in the main arena there was sheep dog trials dogs herding ducks quite a site. It was an excellent day all round if you missed it this year dont next, it is to be held at the same place on May 14th & 15th.
Also coming up later this year is The B.V.G Cullingworth Harness Racing at the same Field that the Bronte Vintage Gathering is held at.
