EAST RIDDLESDEN HALL
Is situated about 1 mile NE of Keighley on the Bradford Road at Riddlesden. This excellent 17th Century merchant’s house has beautiful gardens aswell as the house to explore. There is also stories of the house being haunted by the Grey Lady.

HAWORTH , Bronte Country
When visiting Keighley you have to visit Haworth. Take a step back in time travel by steam train from Keighley and then walk the cobbled Main Street the picture on the left is one of the most popular views painted by artists and used on postcards this view is at the top of Main Street.

BRONTE PARSONAGE MUSEUM
This was the home of the Bronte family from 1820 to 1861 it is now an excellent museum some of their best books were written in this house. This excellent Georgian house is filled with there personal possessions. There is a variety of special events through out the year see their website for full details. This museum is certainly worth a visit. The Museum is open daily from 10.00 - 5.30 April to September and from 11.00 - 5.00 October to March.

CLIFFE CASTLE PARK AND MUSEUM
Originally the home of Henry Isaac Butterfield a former local textile magnate who furnished it in the style of the 1800s it is a listed building of architectural interest . It was converted into a museum in 1960. Some of the rooms still contain some of there original contents portraits chandeliers and sculptures. The museum has some excellent permanent displays of a variety of interests. The gardens also contain aviaries and a café. KEIGHLEY AND WORTH VALLEY LIGHT RAILWAY
The KWVR is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the Keighley area. This excellent restored steam line runs at weekends all year and every day through the summer . You can travel from Keighley to Oxenhope six stations altogether , at Ingrow there is the Museum of Rail Travel with its relic shop (
website). Oakworth Station was the setting of The Railway Children film. Damens Station seen as "Ormston" in Born and Bred (bbc) . Haworth is the place to see the Bronte Parsonage and the cobbled Main Street. There is also a Railway Children Walk from Oakworth to Haworth. At Oxenhope there is a Exhibition Shed with a good display of engines and carriages. The Keighley Station is part of the Keighley British Rail Station so you can travel by rail diretc.to the KWVR.

Museum Of Rail Travel Ingrow
This excellent Museum is located at Ingrow Station on the Worth Valley line . It has an excellent collection of fully restored Railway Carriages and some film Memorabiliaand a relic shop. There is excellent facilities for people who are in wheel chairs . The museum is located at the bottom of the yard when you arrive at Ingrow Station and is well worth a visit.
