Easter Bunnies & Other Animals at Cliffe Castle
Easter at Keighley’s Cliffe Castle will be extra special this year at the newly restored museum and park.
To celebrate the much loved rabbits and guinea pigs moving into their new homes, an Animal Fun Day is planned for Saturday, 31 March from 12noon until 4pm.
These animals will be joined by the Worth Valley Ferret Welfare racing team and a selection of reptiles from Shipley shop Into The Wild.
The following weekend sees a free circus skills workshop, where everyone is invited to try their hand at juggling, stilt walking and more.
Coun Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council Executive Member for Environment, Sport and Culture, said: “Spring is probably the best time to experience the newly refurbished park, especially with lots of free events for all the family both outside and inside the museum.
“Cliffe Castle has been one of the district’s favourite destinations since it became a public park and museum more than 50 years ago. I hope as many people turn out for the exciting free events on offer.”
The full programme of events is as follows:
Saturday 31 March, 12noon until 4pm: Animal Fun Day – Ferret racing, reptiles and the return of the rabbits. Inside the museum is mask making.
Tuesday 3 April 1pm until 3pm: Circus Crafts – drop in family session, making circus climbers
Saturday 7 April12noon until 3pm: Circus skills workshop – Have a go at juggling, stilt walking and more.
