west yorks police helmetAn 88-year-old pedestrian is fighting for his life after he was struck by a car in Oakworth.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left the pensioner seriously injured.
The accident occurred yesterday at about 11.22am, when a brown Ford Focus travelling along Keighley Road towards the town centre was in collision with the OAP, close to the junction with Lidget in Oakworth.
He was taken to hospital where his condition is said to be critical but stable.
The driver of the vehicle, a male who is also in his eighties, was spoken to by officers at the scene.
