Craft Fair at Cliffe Castle
Cliffe Castle is set to be brimming with contemporary crafters and designers as part of a craft fair at the museum.
The event on Sunday 10 June from 11am to 4pm will coincide with a Garden Party being held in the museum’s park.
Each stall holder has been carefully selected, and all of their work relates to objects which are on display at the museum.
In some cases they will be modern equivalents of historic items, or use similar materials to the exhibits.
Other creators have drawn their inspiration from the subject matter of the museum objects. All the items including unique pieces of fashion, ceramics, prints, and jewellery will be available to buy.
To complement the beautiful objects for sale inside the museum there will be a lot of activities in the newly restored Cliffe Castle Park.
There will be live music on the bandstand from local bands Hurricane Blue and Two Rivers Swing.
Keighley’s Grind and Groove record shop will have a fully stocked stall selling classic vinyl and will provide a fine selection of music to keep the party going.
There will also be a selection of stalls selling handmade local goods and classic games will also be available for all to enjoy on the lawns.
Coun Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Environment, Sport and Culture, said: “This looks like a fantastic event in our beautiful Cliffe Castle Museum and Park. With a great chance to browse the stalls have fun in the gardens and to get something truly unique from the craft fair, I’m sure people will have a great day.”
