Starlight hikeEntries are now open for this year’s Manorlands Starlight Hike.
The walk in the dark takes place on 29 September 2018 and starts with a trip on a Keighley & Worth Valley steam train to the beginning of the route.
Then the ramble takes you through the villages surrounding the Oxenhope hospice.
With a new route, entertainment and featuring the incredible Starlight Express train ride - this is a night not to be missed!
Starting early evening, arrive in time to register and enjoy the entertainment area, where you’ll find music, stalls and refreshments available.
After warming up, you’ll board the Starlight Express train, which will transport you to the start of the walk.
You’ll then follow a safe marshalled route around the surrounding villages of Manorlands, and pass through the hospice grounds, including a trip down Starlight Avenue: a quiet area of reflection. Here, you’ll be able to display a star dedicated to your loved one.
There’ll be plenty to entertain you around the route, and you’ll be treated to a snack bar and some water at the half way point to keep you going.
Crossing the finishing line, you’ll be rewarded with a well-deserved bite to eat, goody bag and medal, plus the knowledge that you’ve done something amazing for local people living with a life-changing diagnosis.
Entries are now open and offers are running until Tuesday 31st July.
What's more, this year you can guarantee your seat on the first train by booking early and snagging one of our Super Early Bird tickets.
If you're happy to board the second train approximately 30 minutes later, however, please opt for the Early Bird or Standard registration fees.
Every penny raised through sponsorship will help us to continue to provide hospice care to our patients and their families, both here at Manorlands and out in the local community.
