Pupils from Nightingales Nursery Fly The Nest with Graduation Ceremony
Mortar boards, certificates and bubbles were the order of the day as 33 children took part in a special graduation party at Nightingales Nursery, Airedale Hospital.
The celebration for children and their parents marked the important milestone of moving on to primary school. To honour the occasion, nursery staff organised a red carpet photo call with cap and gown so all the children could have an official picture and gave them a certificate to commemorate their time at nursery. Party games, cakes, ice creams and ice lollies also played a vital part in the event.
Val Hogg, Childcare Provision Manager, said: “We are delighted that everyone had a wonderful time at our graduation party. This celebration is an important part of each child’s transition to school, as it helps them to understand that their time at nursery is coming to an end and prepares them for the next steps in their exciting journey.”
Nightingales Nursery, based at Airedale Hospital, cares for babies from 10 weeks old to school age, from 7am to 7pm, 5 days a week and is rated Good at Ofsted. It recently expanded its facilities to take on more 3 -4 year olds, courtesy of funding from the Early Years Capital Fund, allowing more parents to access their free childcare entitlement.
