Philip LongbottomA former scout leader jailed for life for the sexual abuse of 12 boys has been charged with sex offences against six more boys.

Textiles businessman Philip Longbottom, 69, is currently caged in Wakefield Prison - dubbed ‘Monster Mansion’ - after he pleaded guilty to more than 40 offences, stretching from 1968 to 1996, with a further offence in 2010.

They included multiple counts of rape, serious sexual assault, and indecent assault.
He lived at an ‘open house’ farm at Goose Eye where he would ply his victims with drink and drugs.
Longbottom was also involved with a CB radio club, the church boys’ brigade, and the sea cadets and would take boys on expeditions, camping, swimming, and on holidays abroad.
The latest charges, nine counts of indecent assault and six counts of buggery, relate to six boys Longbottom is said to have preyed upon between 1969 and 1995.
