About five men wearing balaclavas descended on Church Green, on Friday evening.

Some of the gang entered the Red Pig and began threatening customers with the weapons.
Two drinkers were attacked with he hammers and were left bloodied and semi-conscious. The assailants fled before the police arrived.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said:”Police are investigating an assault involving weapons which occurred in a public house in Church Street, Keighley at around 7pm on Friday.
“Two males, aged 51 and 19, were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which were not believed to be life threatening.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish if this is linked to a local feud between two groups of males.”
