Bijou Nightclub Attack Victim James Etherington Dies in Hospital
A man assaulted outside Bijou nightclub has died from his injuries.
James Etherington, 24, was attacked in Bingley on Saturday 25th November.But he lost his battle for life this afternoon.
His devastated brother Joe announced on Facebook:”Just to let all of you know, my brother James Etherington peacefully passed away at approximately 17:12pm today at the age of 24.
“He put up one hell of a fight but it was never to be, his injuries were too severe. You were loved by countless people and will never ever be forgotten, especially by me, Mum and Dad.
“It was honestly the best 21 years I spent with you and will never ever forget the memories I was lucky enough to have with you. You were nothing short of a miracle, a hero and the best role model a younger brother and best ever friend could ever ever ask for.
“You was too good for this world and hopefully will join you on the other side where we will meet again once more. Goodnight James my absolute world and will never ever forget you, Love you more than you will ever believe.
Thank you all for the overwhelming support and love over the past 11 days .”
Police continue to appeal for information regarding the vicious assault on James.
At 3.32am, police were contacted by the ambulance service who had been called to James injured outside the Bijou nightclub, in Chapel Lane.
Four men, aged 23 to 31, were arrested and quizzed by police.
Two men, 30 and 31, have been released under investigation. A 23-year-old has been bailed pending further enquiries and a 28-year-old has been released without charge.
