North Yorkshire Police is re-launching its ‘Keep it to your Selfie’ campaign with an aim to raise awareness of online safety for young people. The campaign, originally published in the summer of 2015, centres around three videos which encourages boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18 to think before they post images and information online.
A car passenger who was killed in a collision with a camper van conversion in the Yorkshire Dales has been described by his family as a ‘beautiful person’. Joseph Michael Keane, 28, from Billinge, near Wigan, Lancs, died when a Peugeot car he was travelling in collided with the camper can on the A65 near Ingleton on 13 July 2018.
Police are appealing for dash-cam footage following a fatal crash and ambulance pursuit. A collision occurred on the A65 between Clapham and Ingleton, just north of the turn off to Bentham on Friday, killing a passenger.
A stranger who slipped 11-year-old schoolgirl his number and asked her to phone him is being sought by police. The incident happened at around 3.30pm on 19 June 2018, when the girl was walking home from Greatwood School through Skipton.
An inspirational woman from Skipton is to swim the English Channel to raise awareness of prostate cancer. Courageous Kayleigh Davies, 29, who couldn’t swim two years ago, and suffers from Autoimmune Disease.

The incident happened at 3.35pm on the A629 Skipton bypass between the A59 and Keighley Road roundabout and involved a red Renault Clio, which was pulling out of a layby, and a silver Nissan Qashqai, which was travelling towards Keighley Road from the direction of the A59.
A cyclist suffered broken bones after coming off his bike and hitting a dry stone wall when a car got too close to him. The cyclist was one of two travelling between Skipton and Rylstone at approximately 10:30am on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2018.

A member of staff at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has pledged to run 1000 miles in 2018, to celebrate the NHS 70th birthday and to raise funds for the community team she works for.
