A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a crash closed the A65 between Skipton and Draughton.

A red Honda motorbike collided with a black Audi and the biker ended up injured in a ditch.

Paramedics and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were called to the scene just after 8.20am.

One person was taken to Airedale General Hospital with leg and neck injuries.

Another person was airlifted to Royal Blackburn Hospital with knee injuries.

The section of road was closed to traffic while police investigated the scene and to allow for the vehicles to be recovered. The road reopened at 10am.
